MAME in legal trouble

As you may know, through recently MAME has been dropping support for a few games after a recent cease and desist. Before that i just want to stress that we're not a lawyer and we're not close to a legal expert. Additionally some of the things i say may not be applicable especially if you live outside of the United States of America. Copyright Infringement, Trademark, Source Code, all that stuff it's messing it's complicated. With that all said, let's get into it.

Well, as most people should know by now, MAME stands for Multiple Arcade Machine Emulator designed to emulate vintage electronics.

Some companies still consider emulators copyright-infringing. recently on December 31, 2021, exA-Arcadia, current rightholders and their licences, sent the developers of MAME a cease and desist serving that the driver for Cave CV1000 contained Akai Katana and Dodonpachi Saidaiou, as follows:

Yes. as the notice is shown in the page, the developers have decided to remove those two games from the driver. they hope just win this case. Again, We are not a lawyer and i'm not close to a legal expert. That's all this time.
